Florijn Fun Day 2021

 

Florijn Care hosts a free, annual summer fun day for service users, who are actively involved in various aspects of planning and delivery, including agreeing a theme and designing specially commissioned tops. In 2021, it was ‘Hawaii’, with yellow T-shirts and Blue hoodies for all staff and service users to wear. Typically, we hire bouncy castles, have a BBQ, do various races, have a tug-of-war and play football, rounders and (safe!) archery.

The day typically runs from 11:00 am and ends at 17:00 pm and this is the 2021 order of events.

 

11:00 - Arrive, Drinks, Bouncy castle

11:30 - Races:

Bean Bag -           Service users

12:00 - Tug of war - Service Users v Staff

                                Male v Female.

 

13:00 - We stop for a BBQ lunch manned by our catering staff serving freshly made food.

 

14:00 - Is the very popular Talent Show followed by presentation of gifts and specially framed awards for each and every service user for what they have achieved over the year.

 

15:00 - It’s Rounders and Penalty competition.

 

17:00 - Back home for everyone, 20 minutes away from the venue.
